Lone star state native (Cedar Hill, Texas) Jalen Brewster and elite 2027 recruit has been offered by the Indiana Hoosiers.

Brewster, a rising junior also has offers from Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, USC, Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, SUM, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Jacksonville State, Marshall, Memphis, North Texas, San Diego State, Southern Miss, Tulsa, and UTSA.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings Brewster is the No. 7 overall prospcet in the country, the No. 1 defensive lineman nationally, and the third best prospect in Texas in the 2027 class.

Brewster had 16 tackles with seven tackles for a loss, four sacks, two passes defended, a fumble recovery and three QB hurries in five games last season, according to 247Sports.

The 247Sports Evaluation: "Strong, explosive front-line defender with an impressive combination of size and athleticism. Displays startling redirecting suddenness on sophomore tape. Supports that functional juice in pads with terrific combine testing numbers (twice) in early 2025.

"Flashes a heavy inside hand coupled with stack-and-shed strength. Boasts impressive two-way snaps as a successful jumbo wildcat option. Also possesses a strong football pedigree. May lack ideal frame length, but compensates with sudden power and disruptive play style. Projects as a high-major interior D-line force who could become serious impact player."

The 6-foot-4, 277-pound five-star defensive lineman is fielding offers from virtually every blue-blood program currently and still has two years of high school football left.

Brewster is a freak athletically and can wreak havoc from multiple positions, he's equally disruptive with his hand in the dirt or standing up. The flashes are there but at times he's still inconsistent. Overall I see Brewster playing on the interior on the defensive line at the nest level, he's got a long ways to go but he has All-Conference and All-American written all over him.
