The roster for the Indiana women's basketball team will look a lot different in 2026-27 than it did in 2025-26. Only three players who have seen game action are returning, which led to Teri Moren and her staff seeing plenty of roster turnover through the transfer portal this offseason.
The team returned to Bloomington for summer workouts earlier this month, but additions are still being made to the roster. Earlier this week, Moren signed a pair of players from north of the border, which brings Indiana's 2026-27 roster to 14 total players.
Indiana women's basketball signs two Canadians during summer workouts
A pair of Canadian players, Camille Pangonis and Ashlyn Anderson, have signed with the Hoosiers. Pangonis is a 5'11" guard while Anderson is a 6'3" forward, and both players hail from Ontario, Canada.
The pair are the fourth and fifth Canadians to join the Hoosiers in program history. The most recent Canadian to don the Cream and Crimson was Kiandra Browne from 2020-23.

Pagonis will be a freshman. She averaged 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while playing for Fort Erie International Academy.
Anderson brings more experience having played at the collegiate level in Canada. She is set to be a junior after spending the last two seasons at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. She is coming off an impressive sophomore campaign in which she averaged 15.1 points and 13.9 rebounds per game.
Indiana eyeing return to NCAA Tournament in 2026-27
The Hoosiers finished this past season with an overall record of 13-17 and a 6-12 mark in Big Ten play during the regular season. IU defeated Nebraska in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament but then fell to No. 11 Ohio State in the second round. Indiana ultimately missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
Looking for a bounce back campaign, Pagonis and Anderson join a hungry Hoosier team. They also join a talented group of newcomers. Indiana's incoming 2026 class features a trio of 4-star prospects in small forward Gigi Battle, small forward Addison Nyemcheck, and point guard Ashlinn James. The class has received plenty of praise this offseason, and is currently ranked as the No. 10 recruiting class in the country by 247Sports. It marks Moren's highest-ranked recruiting class during her time in Bloomington.
Moren also brought in four players via the transfer portal: Guard Kenzie Hare from Iowa State, forward Alisa Williams from Iowa State, guard Malia Samuels from USC and forward Jessica Petree from Nebraska.
All in all, Moren's offseason moves could have things looking up in Bloomington. Moren owns an overall record of 264–126 (.677) with the Hoosiers and has led IU to the NCAA Tournament seven times. Hoosier fans are hoping that success returns this fall.
