The Indiana women's basketball program is picking up some momentum on the recruiting trail. Teri Moren signed a Top-10 recruiting class for the 2026 cycle, which includes a trio of 4-star prospects in small forward Gigi Battle, small forward Addison Nyemcheck, and point guard Ashlinn James. Each member of that class has the potential to make an early impact when the new season starts up in a couple weeks.

Moren and the Hoosiers continued to build on that momentum on Tuesday afternoon with the commitment of 4-star guard Brookeslee Colvin.
4-star prospect Brookeslee Colvin commits to Indiana women's basketball
A 5'8" guard from Coeur d'Alene High School in Idaho, Colvin is coming off a junior season in which she averaged 30.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 5.4 steals per game according to MaxPreps. She is heralded as a 4-star prospect, and picked Indiana over a list of contenders that included Michigan, UCLA, and Penn State. Her full list of offers exceeded 30 programs.
“It was a really great atmosphere,” Colvin told On3 about Indiana. “Their whole team was there, so I got to hang out with them a lot. They’re super cool. I also got to watch a practice, so that was fun to see their pace and how they play. Again, the relationships that I built with them have been really good.”

After putting up dazzling numbers during her junior season, Colvin was named Idaho's 2026 Gatorade Player of the Year. She helped lead Coeur d'Alene to an overall record of 22-4, which culminated in a trip to the semifinals of the 6A state tournament.
Colvin is the second commit to join Indiana's 2027 recruiting class. The first came in the form of 6'3" forward Finley Parker, who committed to the Cream and Crimson back in April. Parker is a 4-star recruit who hails from Woodstock, GA. Per MaxPreps, she averaged 19.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game last season as a junior.
Teri Moren aims to get Hoosiers back to NCAA Tournament in Year 13
Moren has been at the helm of the Indiana women's basketball program since the 2014-15 season. Her tenure in Bloomington has been a successful one, as she owns an overall record of 264-126 (.677 winning percentage) to go along with a 130-80 record in Big Ten play (.619 winning percentage). Moren has led the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament seven times, which included a memorable Elite Eight run back in 2020-21.
After qualifying for six straight NCAA Tournaments, Indiana missed out on March Madness last season for the first time since 2018-19. The Hoosiers went 18-14 overall, but just 6-12 in conference play. Heading into the 2026-27 season, Moren and the Hoosiers will be looking to get back into the March Madness picture.
