Elon transfer Nick Dorn has committed to the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball program according to reports from On3 Sports' recruiting analyst Joe Tipton
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound wing/guard from Charlotte, North Carolina selected Indiana over North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Maryland.

Nick Dorn is the eighth transfer portal commitment for Indiana men's basketball coach Darian DeVries this off-season. Dorn joins Darian's son Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Tayton Conerway, Jasai Miles, and Jason Drake as he rebuilds the IU roster from scratch.
Dorn has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
As a sophomore, Nick Dorn averaged 15.2 points per game for the Elon Phoenix this season. He also averaged 3.4 rebounds per game, 37.5 percent from the field, 35.6% from the three point line and 79% from the free throw line in 30.8 minutes per game.
In his freshman season he appeared in 30 games for Elon, Dorn averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He earned a spot on the Coastal Athletic Association All-Rookie Team and was an honorable mention all conference player in 2024-25.
Dorn’s father is former Los Angeles Raiders and St. Louis Rams defensive back Torin Dorn. He played in the NFL from 1990-96.
Dorn’s brother, Myles, is also a safety in the UFL and played mutiple sesasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Dorn was not ranked coming out of high school but was the No. 104 overall prospect in the transfer portal and the No. 13 ranked combo guard according to 247Sports Composite
