Former Indiana safety Louis Moore is returning to Indiana for his senior season

The Indiana Hoosiers have been one of the more active teams in the Big Ten Conference in the transfer portal, they have added a familiar face in Ole Miss DB, Louis Moore according to multiple reports.

Louis Moore will be leaving Oxford and transferring back to Indiana after spending two seasons in Bloomington in 2022 and 2023.

Moore started his college career at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas where he played on both sides of the ball. In two seasons at wide receiver he had 48 total receptions for 713 yards and five touchdowns per 247Sports

As a defensive back he recorded 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass break-up. He also had four kick returns for 66 yards.

At Indiana in 2022 and 2023 Moore played in 24 regular season games, he had 93 tackles, 3 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 2 touchdowns and 3 forced fumbles in his two years in Bloomington.

Last year, he had 33 tackles (14 solo) with one pass breakup in 10 games under coach Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

Returning senior safety Amare Ferrell and Louis Moore will likely be the two starters in their depth chart for the 2025 season. Moore will add veteran leadership and top end talent in the back 5 of their secondary which was their weakness of the defense along with overall depth.
