The Indiana Hoosiers will play their final game of the regular season as they take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Senior Night in Assembly Hall. This is a crucial game for the Hoosiers as they dropped the second game of their two-game West Coast road trip to the Oregon Ducks. While that loss doesn't totally knock them out of the NCAA Tournament, it does make this game against Ohio State that much more important.
When the Hoosiers and the Buckeyes faced off earlier in the season, Indiana was without star forward Malik Reneau, who was out with his knee injury suffered earlier in the season. The Hoosiers were still able tog et the win though, however it came in overtime as these teams battled all the way down to the wire.
After that game in Columbus, these teams took very different paths. The Hoosiers went on to lose five straight games, almost totally taking themselves out of contention for the NCAA Tournament, while Ohio State went on to win three straight, but as of late, they have been struggling and almost finding themselves also out of the NCAA Tournament.
This is a crucial game for both teams to secure their spots in the NCAA Tournament before the Big Ten Tournament begins. Both teams will need a solid run in the Big Ten Tournament to help themselves in the end.
