Indiana women's basketball played a great game against the Oregon Ducks in their first game of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, beating them 78-62. The Hoosiers had to fight through tough calls and many of their starters being in foul trouble throughout the game, even with that, four of the five Hoosier starters scored in double digits.
When Indiana scores 10 or more three-pointers, they are 8-0 on the season, and today, they scored 11 3-pointers, making them now 9-0 when they accomplish that feat. That seems to be the recipe for success for this Hoosier team is to score big from deep and then play lock down defense.
The Hoosiers will face a very tough test in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament as they take on No. 1 seed USC as star guard JuJu Watkins looks to lead her team not just to a regular season Big Ten title, but a tournament title as well. Watkins will be the one Indiana will have to try and keep in check if they want an opportunity to pull off the upset against the high-flying Trojans.
