The Indiana Hoosiers moved to 7-1 on the season with a narrow 13-6 victory over the Michigan Wolverines in Week 8. The Hoosiers were able to escape with another close road win, but it's clear there are several areas to improve as the season moves along.

The good news is that Indiana returns home to Memorial Stadium in Week 9 to host the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Minnesota is 5-2 on the season and coming off a 13-10 win over then-No. 15 Iowa last weekend.

This should be a tremendous matchup to watch unfold. Here's a look at all the crucial game information you need to know for Saturday's matchup between the Hoosiers and Golden Gophers.

How to watch Indiana vs Minnesota in Week 9

Kick-off for this Big Ten clash is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. The broadcast crew will feature Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Charles Davis (color analyst), and Jenny Dell (sideline reporter).

ESPN's College GameDay will be on site in Bloomington in the morning. Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, and Kirk Herbstreit will all be in Bloomington breaking down all of the Week 9 action. It's the first visit to Bloomington for College GameDay since October 26, 2024 when Indiana defeated Washington 31-17.

Indiana vs Minnesota betting odds

Oddsmakers are giving a substantial edge to the Hoosiers in this one. Via DraftKings Sportsbook, Indiana is favored by 20.5 points over Minnesota. Here is a closer look at the full Indiana vs Minnesota betting odds:

Moneyline
Minnesota (+850)
Indiana (-1450)

Spread
Minnesota +20.5 (-108)
Indiana -20.5 (-112)

Total
Over 41.5 (-108)
Under 41.5 (-112)

Covering the spread has been a struggle for Indiana this season. Despite owning an overall record of 7-1 and being ranked No. 4 in the country, the Hoosiers are just 1-7 against the spread this season. Indiana's lone cover of the season came back in Week 5 with a 47-15 win over Rutgers.

On the other side, Minnesota is 5-2 against the spread through seven games. The Over is 4-3 for Minnesota, while the Under is 5-3 for Indiana.

Indiana vs Minnesota all-time series history

The Hoosiers and Golden Gophers have met 69 times on the gridiron. Minnesota owns the all-time series edge 40-26-3. The Golden Gophers have won each of the last four head-to-head meetings, taking the most recent matchup 35-14 back on November 20, 2021. Indiana's last win over Minnesota came by a score of 40-20 back on October 6, 2007.

Indiana Football Week 9 injury report

Official Big Ten availability reports for Week 9 have yet to be released. Indiana had a relatively clean injury report for Week 8 against Michigan, as RB Khobie Martin was the only player unavailable to play. Martin is trending in the right direction after suffering a broken forearm in Week 1 against North Texas, but hasn't been able to suit up just yet.

Indiana vs Minnesota score prediction

Minnesota has been an impressive team at times this season, picking up solid wins over Washington and Iowa. But the Golden Gophers have struggled with consistency, and fell flat against Mississippi State and Purdue, losing those games 38-13 and 41-13 respectively.

On the other side, the Hoosiers have also struggled with consistency. Indiana has narrowly escaped upset bids multiple times this season, and are just 1-6 against the spread. With the running game being almost non-existent over the last three weeks, it's tough to trust the Hoosiers laying 20+ points against anyone right now. Indiana has a talent advantage, but I don't see the Hoosiers running away with this one. IU wins 21-13.
