Former Indiana Hoosier Trey Galloway is gearing up for the NBA Draft this off-season. The Culver, Indiana, native started 86 games for Indiana over the past five years, including 76 over the past three seasons. Galloway finished his career with an average of 7.3 points, 3.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Galloway finished seventh in total assists in IU program history and is one of seven Hoosiers to have 1,000-plus points and 400-plus assists in a career.

This week, Galloway had a workout with the Golden State Warriors (his fourth) of the pre-draft process. He also spoke about how his experiences at Indiana and what he wants to work on before the 2025 NBA Draft takes place.

"“I've really seen some improvements in my game,” Galloway said. “I think I've really prepared myself to have a chance.” "

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard has been working out with Indianapolis based trainer Jason Smeathers since early April, improving his shooting, passing and overall defensive game this off-season.

Aside from the Golden State Warriors, Galloway reportedly also has workouts planned with the Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks.

Galloway’s fifth workout will take place with the Sacramento Kings, who recently hired Mike Woodson who coached Galloway for four seasons at Indiana before stepping down at the end of the season.

“He (Mike Woodson) made a big impact in my career,” Galloway said. “And obviously, he’s very tapped in with the NBA world, so we’ve talked continuously throughout this process, and he’s just been helping me out. The main thing is for just for me is to really enjoy it and take it all in.”

Galloway brings toughness, experience, and shooting to whatever NBA roster gives him a shot. The former Hoosier isn’t currently projected to be drafted but will draw strong interest from NBA teams as a summer league or two-way contract candidate as an un drafted free agent. For the Warriors in particular, they have prioritized shooting, toughness and high-IQ players in recent years, Galloway fits the mold for Steve Kerr and Golden State.
