The 2026 WNBA Draft is set for Monday night at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, and fans of Indiana women's basketball could hear a familiar name called.
Shay Ciezki put together a sensational senior campaign for the Hoosiers this past season, and is now hoping to make the leap to the WNBA on Monday night.
Three round and 45 total picks are set to be made on Monday night, and as it stands, Ciezki is projected to be a third round selection. The latest WNBA mock draft from ESPN has the IU standout landing in a spot that Hoosier fans would love.
ESPN projects Shay Ciezki to Indiana Fever in latest mock draft
ESPN's Michael Voepel projects that Ciezki will be selected in the third round with the No. 40 overall pick by the Indiana Fever. The move would not only keep Ciezki playing in The Hoosier State, but give her plenty of national exposure playing alongside Caitlin Clark.
The Fever are coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, and made a run to the Eastern Conference semifinals last season despite dealing with a plethora of injuries. Most notably, Clark missed the majority of the season with a lower body injury. She is now back healthy and looking to lead the Fever to another postseason run.
Ciezki's skill set could fit in nicely with the group of guards that Indiana possesses. TheBuffalo, N.Y. native earned All-Big Ten First Team honors from the media and Big Ten All Second Team honors from the conference's coaches this past season. Her 708 total points and 22.8 points per game both ranked 2nd in the Big Ten.
She also led the Big Ten and ranked 6th in the country with a three-point shooting percentage of 44.6%. The Fever love to shoot a ton of three's, and Ciezki's ability to knock down shots from the outside could give Stephanie White's team even more depth from beyond the arc.
Ciezki spent the first two seasons of her collegiate career at Penn State before transferring to Indiana. In her career, she appeared in 129 games with 123 starts and averaged 14.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Hoosier fans will cheer Ciezki on wherever she ends up, but landing with the Fever would be a great sight to see.
