CBS Sports has Tucker DeVries slated as a second round pick

Adam Finkelstein of CBS Sports has released his full 60-pick NBA Mock Draft, and he is showing plenty of love to DeVries. Finkelstein has DeVries projected as a second round pick, with his exact selection coming at No. 54 overall to the Golden State Warriors.

Finkelstein notes DeVries' elite shooting ability, as well as his impressive spring as reasons for projected DeVries to the 54th overall pick.

"I got to see DeVries work out this spring and thought he looked healthier than he has in several years. There's no question he's a truly elite shooter, so this might be worth a look for the Warriors."
Adam Finkelstein

DeVries has gone through more than a dozen NBA workouts over the course of the last several weeks, and he seems to be making an impression. The majority of the NBA Mock Drafts out there don't have DeVries getting picked, but he could be on the rise. His presence on the full mock from CBS shows that the attention surrounding the 6'7" 225-pound small forward is certainly growing.

This past season, DeVries was Indiana's second-leading scorer behind point guard Lamar Wilkerson. DeVries averaged 13.7 points per game while also leading the Hoosiers with 5.3 rebounds per game. He was also tied for the team lead with 3.3 assists per contest and paced IU with three triple-doubles on the season.

DeVries has a decorated five-year college basketball career that has seen him score 2,423 points over the course of 144 games with Drake, West Virginia, and Indiana. He ends his college career averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 42.8% from the floor and 35.9% from beyond the arc.

His NBA fate remains to be seen, but it's clear that DeVries is working his way into the draft discussion. Hoosier fans are eager to see where he ends up at the next level.
