Philadelphia Phillies slugger an all-star Kyle Schwarber hit a career milestone last night against the Colorado Rockies in Denver as he slammed his 300th career home run in a 9-3 victory over the Rockies.

At (466 feet) it was also the third-longest in MLB this season, behind only Mike Trout (484 feet) and Aaron Judge (468 feet).

Schwarber became the 11th active player to reach the 300-homer mark, and he’s the sixth to hit No. 300 in a Phillies uniform, joining Bryce Harper, Ryan Howard, Mike Schmidt, Roy Sievers and Chuck Klein.

"It's a cool milestone," Schwarber told MLB Network. "I think the biggest thing is there's a lot more to come. If they asked 12-year-old Kyle if he'd hit 300 homers, I would have said, 'Probably not.' Right? But I've always loved the game and I didn't know what it would hold, but it's been really gracious to me."

It took Kyle Schwarber 664 games to reach 153 home runs with the Cubs, Nationals, and Red Sox. It took him 512 games to hit 147 home runs in Philadelphia.

Kyle Schwarber was a two-time first-team All-American at Indiana. A .341 hitter in college, he ranks among the top 10 in school history in home runs (40), hits (238), runs (182) and slugging percentage (.607). He also helped lead the Hoosiers to their most recent trip to the College World Series in 2013.

The following year, he became the baseball program’s highest-drafted player when the Cubs chose him with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 Draft.

At this pace ans stage in Kyle's career, even at 32 years old, Schwarber has an outside shot at reaching 500 home runs before all is said and done. If the former Hoosier can remain a productive hitter and stay healthy for the next five or six years he could reach the 500 club.
