Junior Forward Malik Reneau Enters Transfer Portal after three years at Indiana

Indiana Hoosiers forward Malik Reneau has entered the transfer portal, this coming straight from the source as Reneau posted he would transfer this evening on X formerly Twitter on his personal account.

“I want to thank Coach Woodson and his entire staff for giving me an opportunity to play at Indiana.  I will miss the fans and all the great people in Bloomington,” he also said in an Instagram post.

Reneau announced his transfer only a few hours after Indiana hired Darian DeVries away from the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Reneau is the second Hoosier to transfer today as former four-star guard and sophomore Gabe Cupps also decided to put his name in the transfer portal, which opens up officially on Monday morning.

Reneau was a key contributor for Indiana the last three seasons. The 6-foot-9, 230 pound junior power forward averaged a team-high 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 55.2% from the field in 2024-25.

The former four-star from Montverde Academy was one of Mike Woodson's highest rated recruits in his four year tenure along with Philadelphia 76ers forward and former first round pick Jalen Hood-Schifino.

Reneau was the No. 30 player overall in the nation in the 2022 class and the 7th best prospect in the 2022 class per 247Sports Composite

Miami, Florida native Malik Reneau was one of the most consistent post scorers in the Big Ten over the past three seasons and will be well sought after in the transfer portal. Expect mutiple big name schools such as; Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State, USC, Maryland, Saint John's and many more to go after the junior big man.
