On March 1, Hood-Schifino signed a two-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. A two-way contract allows for a player to play for both the NBA club and its G League affiliate, now JHS has had his biggest game of his career after a up and down first two years in the NBA.

Jalen Hood-Schifino scored a career-high 19 points against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon. Hood-Schifino was 6 of 11 from the field and was 5 of 9 from 3-point range in 23 minutes of play in a 130-125 point win for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Hood-Schifino played three games for their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats before being called up by the 76ers on Friday against the Indiana Pacers in a 12 point loss where he managed to score five points off the bench in 13 minutes of play.

Last month, Hood-Schifino was trade to the Utah Jazz from the L.A Lakers in the Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis trade. The former Hoosiers star was then waived by the Utah Jazz just two weeks later.

Previously, Hood-Schifino was selected 17th overall in the 2024 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. The former first round pick played most of his rookie year in the G-League for the South Bay Lakers. Hood-Schifino averaged 22.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the field in the G-League but struggled to get minutes in the NBA.
