Indiana women’s basketball ranked No. 25 in AP preseason poll

Indiana women’s basketball is ranked No. 25 in The Associated Press’ preseason poll released Tuesday

Indiana was the sixth-highest rated Big Ten school in the Top 25. The Hoosiers are one of six ranked Big Ten squads behind he No. 3 USC Trojans, No. 5 UCLA Bruins, No. 14 Ohio State Buckeyes, No. 18 Maryland Terripans and No. 23 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Indiana returns starters Yarden Garzon, Chloe Moore-McNeil and Sydney Parrish. The Hoosiers also landed two top transfers, guard Shay Ciezki (Penn State) and forward Karoline Striplin from Tennessee.

Indiana is coming off a third-place finish in the conference last season, along with a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament that led to a Sweet 16 appearance.

Lead by head coach Teri Moren Indiana opens the regular season on November 4th at home against Brown.
