Indiana WBB Commits Nevaeh Caffey and Maya Makalusky named McDonald’s All-American nominees

McDonald's All-American Honors is the highest praise and post-season game all across women's basketball in the nation and two of IU's commits have been selected to the 2025 roster

Nevaeh Caffey and Maya Makalusky were both named McDonald’s All-American West nominees for the 2025 McDonald All-American Game held April 1 at the Barclays Center in (Brooklyn) New York.

The two Indiana Hoosiers commits headline a Top 25 2025 recruiting basketball class under the lead of IU head coach Teri Moren.

Caffey, a 5-10 guard out of Warrenton, Missouri, has three Missouri state titles at Incarnate Word Academy and is en route for a fourth straight, they are 141-1 in three and a half seasons. Caffey averaging 13.9 points, three rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. She is the No. 2 ranked player in the state of (MO) per Prep Girls Hoops

Makalusky, a 6-3 forward from Fishers, Indiana at Hamilton Southeastern H.S is a four year starter who has averaged 19.1 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.5 assists per game in her career per Max Preps She is the No. 1 overall WBB player from the state of Indiana.

The final rosters will be released later this month via ESPN press release.
