Indiana Hoosiers senior linebacker Aiden Fisher has been named one of 13 semifinalists for the Rotary Lombardi Award, presented annually to the college football lineman who best exemplifies discipline, performance, and leadership on and off the field.
Fisher has anchored the Hoosiers defense through an 8-0 start which has them ranked No. 2 overall in the nation.
On the 2025 season, Aiden Fisher has 49 tackles, including seven for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also has an interception returned for a touchdown on the season. A injury kept Fisher out of Indiana's 55-10 domination of Maryland in a Big Ten road game this past Saturday.

Fisher is the leader for the Hoosiers defense that is No. 3 against scoring, No. 4 against the rush and No. 7 overall in fewest total yards allowed per game.
Fisher led the Hoosiers with 118 total tackles, which ranked third in the Big Ten Conference, 1.5 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss.
A two-year starter for the Hoosiers who came from James Madison with coach Curt Cignetti prior to the 2024 season, Fisher last season led an Indiana defense that finished as the No. 6 scoring defense in the country as the Hoosiers went 11-2 and reached the College Football Playoff.
Fisher became the program’s first-ever first-team All-American linebacker in school history.
The Lombardi Award was established in 1970, in memory of legendary coach Vince Lombardi. It is presented to an outstanding lineman or linebacker who best epitomizes values of leadership, courage, performance, and discipline on and off the field. Furthermore, the award is presented to a player who is consistently showing the values of strength, agility, and football acumen at their respective position.
