As a part of their run to a historic National Championship last season, the Indiana Hoosiers dominated the Alabama Crimson Tide to the tune of a 38-3 win in the Rose Bowl. Alabama simply doesn't lose like that, and Indiana made quick work of the Tide in a game that was never close.

It's been three months since that dominating win, but Indiana DE Mikail Kamara isn't letting Alabama fans forget about it anytime soon.

Mikail Kamara has a big vision for Indiana football

During Indiana's pro day in Bloomington on Wednesday, Kamara announced his big vision for the IU football program moving forward: "Hopefully we can turn this into Bama...old Bama," Kamara said. The comment drew plenty of laughter from the reporters in attendance, and showed just how far the Indiana program has come under Curt Cignetti.

Imagine showing this clip to any college football fan two or three years ago. They would look at you like Kamara was out of his mind. Indiana and Alabama had always been on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to college football success, with the Crimson Tide being one of the all-time winnigest programs, while Indiana boasted the most losses in the history of the sport.

But things have changed.

Indiana is coming off a perfect 16-0 season and National Championship, and is 27-2 over the last two seasons with Cignetti at the helm. The turnaround he has orchestrated is one of the greatest stories in sports history, and he has the Hoosiers well-positioned to be a title contender again in 2026.

Down in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is still trying to find its footing under Kalen DeBoer. Simply put, Alabama does not have the same aura that it's had for so long.

But let's be honest - finding the same continuous dominance that Alabama had under Nick Saban is a near impossible task in today's era of college football. However, with the way Cignetti has worked miracles during his short time in Bloomington, Hoosier fans have plenty of confidence in Indiana's staying power in 2026 and beyond.
