With the 2025 class either already on campus or joining the team over the summer, Curt Cignetti and the rest of the football coaching staff are diligently working on getting future talent, starting with the 2026 recruiting class.

The Hoosiers got their first commitment of the 2026 class back at the beginning of the month with offensive lineman Samuel Simpson out of River Falls, Wisconsin, making his verbal commitment to Cignetti and Indiana. Now, if the time that Cignetti is scheduling an official visit with certain players who have offers from Indiana and are showing a mutual interest in the program.

Three-star running back Jayreon Campbell, who had garnered interest in big programs such as TCU, Wake Forest, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida, is currently set to have two official visits in June with Georgia Tech on June 6 and Indiana on June 13. Campbell was named a standout performer last weekend at the Under Armor Atlanta regional.

The Power Springs, Georgia native may have a bit more of a sway towards Georgia Tech as it is close to home and he is familiar with the program, but when talking about Indiana, he expressed interest and is excited to see the university, but obviously has not been up there yet.

247Sports national analyst Hudson Standish assessed Campbell's performance in the Under Armor Atlanta regional, and gave a solid analysis of the three-star running back.

"Campbell was the most natural pass-catcher among the running backs in attendance and profiles well as a change-of-pace back who can develop into a receiving mismatch at the next level," Standish said.

For Indiana, Campbell could come in and be a potential starter as the Hoosiers are losing their top two backs this season and don't have a standout so far for the 2025 season. So even though Campbell won't be with the program till 2026, depending on what the run game looks like in 2025, he could have a shot at making an immediate impact for Indiana.
