Indiana looking for 4th straight NCAA Tournament appearance
Head coach Shonda Stanton has led the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three seasons, marking the first time ever the feat has been achieved in program history. Indiana is well-positioned to make another tournament appearance, but a solid performance at the Big Ten Tournament is much-needed to solidify that effort and improve seeding as much as possible.
The NCAA Tournament field will feature 64 teams, with 31 earning automatic bids in their respective conference tournaments and 33 claiming at-large bids. Indiana has never won the Big Ten Conference Tournament in its history, so Stanton and company have a chance to make history this weekend.
Following the Big Ten Tournament, the NCAA Softball Tournament Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 10 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Hoosiers have made the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three seasons, but they have yet to advance past the Regional stage. Stanton and company are looking to change that this season.
