The Indiana Hoosiers will not be playing another game this season as they were not selected for the NCAA Tournament and have turned down any sort of invite to a postseason tournament. The Hoosiers, who have been on the bubble for weeks now, were not even the first team out of the tournament, but the second team just behind West Virginia.

There is a lot of controversy and conversation around the fact that UNC, a team with only one Quad 1 win and played in the weakest ACC conference ever, made it in over Indiana, who had four Quad 1 wins and did not lose a single game outside of Quad 1 games.

The biggest controversy is that UNC's AD Bubba Cuningham was a part of the selection committee, and even though UNC was very much on the line of making the tournament, they suddenly make it in and teams like Indiana and West Virginia, who clearly had better resumes, did not make it in.

Indiana not making the tournament is not just heartbreaking for fans and for head coach Mike Woodson, who has officially coached his final game with the Hoosiers without knowing it, but for the players as well. The players who worked so hard, especially toward the end of the season, to give them a chance to make the tournament.

Indiana senior guard Anthony Leal posted on X (formally known as Twitter) his reaction to the Hoosiers not making the NCAA Tournament.

While Leal was the only one to make a post, his reaction is probably shared among the entire team, as the Hoosiers will lose many seniors this year, including Leal, Trey Galloway, Oumar Ballo, and others. Even though the season was rough at times, these guys left it all out on the court, and they deserved one last game together, whether it was in the NCAA Tournament or another postseason tournament.

Indiana denied their invitation to the NIT, meaning their season is done, and not only have some of these players played their final games in an Indiana jersey, but Woodson has coached his final game with the Hoosiers as well.
