The Indiana Hoosiers are not going dancing, they will not play another game this season, they will not pass Go, and they will not collect $200. The Hoosiers season is done, as they have also denied their invite to the NIT.
The Hoosiers will not be in the NCAA Tournament this year, marking the official end of the Mike Woodson era in Bloomington. If Indiana had beaten the Oregon Ducks, they might have been more of a lock in the tournament, but too many bad games plagued their season.
What Indiana fans are upset about, though, is the fact that UNC, another bubble team, made it in over the Hoosiers, even though Indiana's resume was much stronger than the Tar Heels's resume. UNC only had one Quad 1 win this season, played in the ACC, a very weak conference this year, and struggled repeatedly throughout the year.
Indiana fans took to social media to voice their frustration, and they honestly made some good points in the process.
Indiana gets screwed. Beat a No. 2 seed on the road, and a No. 4 seed.

North Carolina beat ONLY UCLA (7-seed) on a neutral site. Xavier's best wins are over a 7-seed (Marquette) and 9-seed (Creighton). Texas has 15 losses.
Make it make sense. #iubb
Indiana did not lose a single game outside of Quad 1 teams, while UNC only had one Quad 1 win throughout their entire season. Xavier did not have nearly as strong of a schedule as the Hoosiers did, and Texas had more losses than Indiana. This is absolutely insane.
Didnt have Highway robbery on my 2025 March Madness Bingo Card#IUBB

Some Indiana fans might have had the Hoosiers not making the NCAA Tournament on their Bingo card, but they certainly didn't have Indiana getting robbed by UNC on it.
Hope North Carolina looses by 30 #iubb

Every Indiana fan is now the biggest San Diego State fan in the world right now. Nothing brings fans and a team together quite like anger towards another team.
Oh there you go. UNC Athletic Director on the selection committee. That isn’t shady. #iubb

Definitely seem to be suspicious of UNC making it in, and their AD was on the selection committee. Even though he says he stepped out of the room, it still seems very suspicious.
So Indiana was never in the convo to be in the play-in.

Insane #iubb
Indiana was not even technically the next team to get in; West Virginia was the first team out, and then it was the Hoosiers. It seems everyone wrote off Indiana the moment they lost to Oregon.
so winning doesn’t matter anymore?#iubb

Apparently not.
So the reasoning for North Carolina being in was the winner of the AAC tournament.. not anything they did during the season thank Vice Chairman. #iubb

Let's just cancel the regular season and give all the blue-blood teams an automatic bid to the tournament.
UNC gets in the Tournament.

Bubba Cunningham. “I was not in the room when NC was discussed.” Did IU deserve to be in? That’s some debate but the last team in with 1 Q1 win has their AD as the chair, just doesn’t add up…. #MarchMadness #IUBB pic.twitter.com/X8RiMg3FuR
The math is not making sense here. Indiana had more Quad 1 wins than UNC did, and they did not lose a single game out outside of Quad 1 games, it truly is not adding up, and clearly, Indiana got the brunt end of it all.
