Darian DeVries is entering his second offseason with the Indiana Hoosiers, and it seems like he is learning from some mistakes he made last time. While Indiana has a team that was on the cusp of making the NCAA Tournament, it seems like building the team with all mid-major players wasn't enough for DeVries to get the Hoosiers to the big dance.
This offseason, it seems DeVries is going back to high-major players in the portal as the Hoosiers are getting ready to host three transfers that could change everything at Indiana. DeVries welcomed a visit from former Duke guard Darren Harris and just finished visits with Notre Dame's Markus Burton and Alabama's Aiden Sherrell.
All three players would be huge for DeVries in building his roster for next season, especially with such a small high school recruiting class coming in.
Huge next 24-48 hours for Darian DeVries and Indiana.

Hoosiers went for mid-major transfers a year ago. Now focused mostly on high-major proven guys.
Learned from their mistakes.
Darren Harris finished visit, now have Markus Burton & Aiden Sherrell on campus, source told…
Darian DeVries has to land at least one of the three high-major transfers who visited Indiana
If DeVries lands all three transfers who visited this past weekend, it would make Indiana a very dangerous team next season. All three players bring great experience, as well as high-scoring opportunities.
Harris only averaged 3.3 points per game this season, but with the two years of experience at Duke, he can be a focal point at Indiana and allow his game to grow. Burton and Sherrell will definitely bring scoring opportunities, with Sherrell being a top transfer out of the portal with Flory Bidunga now off the board.
Sherrell is one that many big schools are interested in, and it comes as no surprise, looking at his sophomore season with the Crimson Tide. Sherrell averaged 11.1 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks for Alabama this past season, and Indiana could really use that presence in the paint.
Burton is the only transfer that could worry some people, with him coming off an ankle injury in December that knocked him out for the rest of the season at Notre Dame. However, Burton was having a career season in just 10 games, averaging 18.5 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
DeVries can really make a splash in his second season with this trio, and it just might be what Indiana needs to get back to the NCAA Tournament.
