On Saturday, On3's Jamie Shaw reported that Indiana men's basketball has contacted Idaho State's Dylan Darling in the transfer portal.
Darling averaged 19.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals for the Idaho State Bengals as a sophomore last season, winning Big Sky Player of the Year in 2024-25. Darling was also unanimously selected as the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year and to the league’s All-Conference First Team.
The 6-foot-2 point guard shot 44.1% percent from the field, 35.6 percent from the three point line and 81 percent from the free-throw line.
Idaho State finished 15-15 overall last season and 10-8 in the Big Sky Conference.
Darling played with former Hoosier guard Myles Price at Washington State his freshman season suffered a season-ending injury three games into his career after redshirting his "true freshman" season. He averaged 1.7 points, 0.6 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game in his short time in Pullman at Wazzu.
Dylan Darling has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Indiana has also received commitments from former Drake guard Conor Enright, West Virginia forward Tucker DeVries and Davidson forward Reed Bailey. They also have a commitment from incoming freshman and four-star Trent Sisley.
They have also been in contact with Charleston senior center Ante Brzovic.
