Indiana Hoosiers star outfielder Devin Taylor has received preseason All-American honors from Perfect Game for a second year in a row the organization announced this week.
Indiana's captain and lead off hitter, Taylor led the Big Ten with 20 home runs. Devin Taylor also had a batting average of .357 and had 54 RBI's.
The junior and Cincinnati (Ohio) native was a Perfect Game Second Team All-American and an ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-American. He has been named to the All-Big Ten First Team in consecutive seasons – the first IU player to get First Team All-Big Ten honor in each of his first two years of college baseball per IU Athletics
in 2023-24 Indiana baseball made the Knoxville Regional tournament and went 1-2 in the double elimination regional. Indiana defeated Southern Mississippi, but lost to host and eventual national champions Tennessee, and then was eliminated in a rematch with Southern Miss.
According to mlb.com, Taylor is a likely first round draft pick in the 2025 draft. In their mock draft, they have Taylor going 21st overall to the Houston Astros.
