Indiana Linebacker Jailin Walker declares for 2025 NFL Draft after Historic Season With Hoosiers

The NFL Draft process is right around the corner and the NFL Draft takes place on Thursday, Apr. 24 through Saturday, April 26 and one Indiana Hoosiers prospect will likely hear his named called.

Indiana linebacker Jailin Walker has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft per his on Instagram earlier today.

Walker who transferred from James Madison Univ. was second among Hoosiers with 72 tackles, he also had nine tackles for loss to go along with two sacks and two interceptions in 2024.

At James Madison under Curt Cignetti he appeared in 32 games with 20 starts over three seasons totaling 139 tackles, 9.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles.

At 6'1 220 pounds the outside linebacker is a bit undersized for the OLB position but in this day in age as a linebacker he abilty to fly across the field sideline to sideline and cover tight ends and running backs will be valuble for an NFL team. His current NFL projection is the 5th-7th rounds of the NFL Draft.

CJ West, Trey Wedig, and Kurtis Rourke have also all accepted invites to the East-West Shrine Bowl and will likely be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft as well.

Zach Horton, TySon Lawton, Justice Ellison and James Carpenter will also likely be UDFA (undrafted free agents) or late round picks.

Most of the top All-American and NFL Draft prospect who were underclassmen stayed such as: Mikial Kamara, Aiden Fisher, D'Angelo Ponds and juniors Elijah Sarratt and Amare Ferrell.
