Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti is working to try and build his recruiting class for 2026, but so far he only has one commitment from an offensive lineman. Obviously the Hoosiers have sent out many offers to talented high school football players, but it all depends on who wants to turn their attention towards Indiana.
For one four-star quarterback though, he seems to have a lot of his attention on Indiana. Georgia native Brodie McWhorter is planning to visit Indiana not just once, but twice over the next few months. Currently, McWhorter has a trip planned in March during spring practices and another planned for June for an unofficial visit according to 247Sports.
The four-star quarterback already made a trip up to Bloomington last month and told 247Sports he was planning to make another trip soon, as well as an official visit. He plans to make his official visit June 6th through the 8th.
The reason for McWhorter's visit last month was for a junior day event held by the program, and he the Hoosiers clearly caught his eye, as did he for Indiana. McWhorter is a 6-foot-2, 195 pound quarterback that is currently ranked as the No. 30 QB in the 2026 class and the No. 54 QB in the state of Georgia.
The junior day event really showed the young quarterback what the Hoosier program is about and that is what caught his eye about Indiana. The four-star recruit is also being looked at by many other programs, including offers from fellow Big Ten schools such as Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Oregon.
McWhorter also has offers from SEC, ACC, and Big 12 schools such as Georgia, Arkansas, UNC, Florida State, UCF, TCU, Auburn, and many others. He also has received some love from smaller programs such as USF and UAB.
With the number of visits McWhorter has planned to Bloomington in the coming months, it seems he might be leaning towards the Hoosiers for his college career, but there is still a lot that could happen between now and signing day.
