With the college basketball transfer portal action out in full force, it's shaping up to be a big weekend for Darian DeVries and the Indiana Hoosiers.
The portal opened up on Tuesday, and five Hoosiers have entered the portal. Players in the portal can commit to a new team at any time, and Indiana is still looking to land its first transfer commit. DeVries and company are hoping that changes quickly.
A massive recruiting weekend is on deck, as a trio of transfer targets are slated to visit Bloomington.
Indiana set to host a trio of transfer guards this weekend
Indiana is set to host Notre Dame guard Markus Burton, Duke guard Darren Harris, and Georgia Tech guard Jaeden Mustaf in Bloomington this weekend.

Markus Burton
Burton was the first player in the portal to schedule a visit to Indiana. He is a major scoring threat, and could help replace some of the production Lamar Wilkerson brought to the table this past season.
Burton averaged 17.5 points per game to lead all freshmen in the ACC in 2023-24. He followed that up by leading the ACC in scoring with 21.3 points per game and shot 44.2% from the floor and 37.5% from three-point land in 2024-25. He played just 10 games this past season before a ankle injry ended his season.
Darren Harris
Harris is a former 4-star recruit and top-40 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, and has struggled to find consistent playing time over two seasons at Duke. In those two years, Harris appeared in 57 games and averaged 2.8 points and 0.9 rebounds per game for the Blue Devils.
Jaeden Mustaf
Mustaf's visit to Bloomington is already underway. He is a 6'5" guard who spent the last two season at Georgia Tech and has two years of eligibility remaining. This past season, he started 23 of his 29 games and averaged 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He played 27.7 minutes per game, and finished the season in strong fashion by scoring in double figures in nine of his last 11 games.
Darian DeVries needs to put together a strong transfer portal class
DeVries overhauled Indiana's roster through the transfer portal last season, and his additions led to an underwhelming 18-14 first season in Bloomington. Indiana has now missed the NCAA Tournament in three straight seasons and in eight of the last 10 years. With IU basketball fans starving for a March run, DeVries needs to bring in a solid portal class entering Year 2.
It will be interesting to see how this weekend goes for DeVries and Indiana. All three players are visiting multiple schools in the coming days, putting IU in the middle of several portal recruiting battles. This weekend sets the tone.
