Indiana head football coach Curt Cignetti announced the signing of 21 student athletes for the 2025 season on Wednesday (Dec. 4) during the first day of the early signing period. The 21 newcomers each signed their Big Ten Athletics Scholarship Agreement and 14 will enroll early for the spring semester per IUHoosiers.com
The IU 2025 class includes one 4-star and 20 3-stars. According to the On3 Industry Average, Indiana’s class ranks No. 48 nationally and No. 14 in the Big Ten.
According to 247 Sports Composite which complies an average industry ranking has Indiana ranked 42nd nationally and 13th out of 18th in the Big Ten.
The 21-player class includes nine players on offense and 12 on defense. In addition to their on-field talent, Cignetti said he was looking for passionate, goal-oriented players.

The 2025 class is headlined by four-star safety Byron Baldwin from Baltimore (MD) at Saint Frances HS. The Maryland native is also the No. 188 overall prospect and No. 17 safety in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
14 of the 21 players that Curt Cignetti and Indiana signed will enroll at Indiana in January.
