The featured segment talks about Rice’s battle with cancer early in his life and his experience as a basketball player from an under recruited high school prospect and his transfer from Pullman at Washington State, to Bloomington at Indiana.
Through 15 games this season Rice is averaging 12 points, 3.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 46.4% from the field and 31.7% from three as the IU men's basketball team has a 12-3 overall record and are 10- at home in Assembly Hall.
Numbers don't cover Rice's total impact. He plays with a passion and energy that inspires all the Hoosiers, senior guard Anthony Leal says.
""We try to make it to where everybody is doing that. Someone has to set the tone every game and you hope that happens in the first few possessions where somebody makes a hard play and it kicks in with everyone else and it becomes contagious and everybody is like, 'Okay, we got to really match that energy or else we're just going to be letting them down.' It's becoming contagious. It's selfless team basketball and that's what we're about.""Anthony Leal on Myles Rice
