The Indiana Hoosiers have recently shown interest in a Rutgers three-star quarterback decommitment Gavin Sidwar.

Sidwar out of La Salle Prep in Warrington (PA) a suburb of Philadelphia announced his de-commitment from the Scarlet Knights on Twitter/X late last year and has been flirting with the likes of Duke, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Syracuse and Penn State to name a few.

The Pennsylvania native is listed at 6 foot 3, 190 pounds and in an incoming senior from the class of 2026.

In his sophomore season in 2023 he threw for 186-of-285 passes (65.2%) for 2,439 yards and 29 touchdowns to only 7 int's. In the 2024 season this year the junior had another solid season with a 69 percentage for 2,747 yards and 31 touchdowns, with just six interceptions.

Sidwar has a strong arm with quick zip but some of his best traits come from his decision making and movement in the pocket to evade defensive pressure. He also shows great poise in the pocket and has the vision to make the right throw through tight coverage, his coaches love he leadership and experience as he has almost three years of starting under his belt.

On3 holds the highest ranking for Sidwar, rating him as a four-star, No. 5 in the state of Pennsylvania, No. 15 quarterback and No. 193 overall prospect in the Class of 2026. Rivals and 247Sports both rate him as a three-star overall recruit.

It would be nice to see if Indiana can land a young quarterback from the class of 2026. Currently they have a deep QB room that includes Cal transfer junior Fernando Mendoza, his brother redshirt freshman Alberto, sophomore Tyler Cherry and gradute senior transfer Grant Wilson.
