The regular season is wrapped up for the Indiana Hoosiers football program, as they finished 11-1 and likely clinched a berth to the College Football Playoff.
Curt Cignetti has won Big Ten coach of the year and Six Hoosiers were named to the All-Big Ten first, second and third teams and an additional 11 Hoosiers named honorable mention all-conference.
Earlier this week, the 2024 All-Big Ten teams were announced by the Big Ten conference and six Hoosiers were named All-Conference.
The Hoosiers had multiple players earn All-Big Ten selections, including defensive end Mikail Kamara, linebacker Aiden Fisher, defensive back D'Angelo Ponds, quarterback Kurtis Rourke, wide receiver Elijah Sarratt and offensive lineman Mike Katic.
DEFENSIVE END MIKAIL KAMARA - FIRST TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Mikail Kamara was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten first team. The Hoosiers' defensive end started all 12 games with 44.0 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss and 10.0 sacks on the season. The James Madison transfer also forced two fumbles and recovered three fumbles.
LINEBACKER AIDEN FISHER - FIRST TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Fisher led IU and ranked third in the Big Ten in total tackles at 108 on the season. He also added 4.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks on the season.
CORNERBACK D'ANGELO PONDS - FIRST TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Ponds was named a freshman All-American at James Madison last season and was stellar this year as well. He had 53 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss and grabbed two interceptions and nine pass break ups in 2024.
QUARTERBACK KURTIS ROURKE - SECOND TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
The former Ohio Bobcats transfer made the most of his graduate and lone regular season with Indiana. Rourke completed 70.4 percent of his passes for 2,827 yards, 27 touchdowns, and four interceptions over 11 starts this season, going 10-1.
WIDE RECEIVER ELIJAH SARRTT - THIRD TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
A transfer from James Madison, Elijah "Waffle House" Sarratt led Indiana with 49 receptions, 890 yards receiving. Mr. 24-7, finished second in the league in yards per reception, averaging 18.2 yards per catch.
OFFENSIVE LINEMAN MIKE KATIC - THIRD TEAM ALL-BIG TEN
Katic graded out as the No. 5 center in the Big Ten per Pro Football Focus (72.4) over 763 snaps at center. Started and served as a game captain in all 12 games … Helped IU rush for multiple rushing touchdowns in 11 of 12 games and tie the program record of 37 rushing touchdowns in a season per IU Hoosiers.com
