The 11-1 Indiana Hoosiers came in ranked No. 9 in Tuesday night’s College Football Playoff rankings. Indiana is currently projected to be seeded 10th in the in the CFP bracket.
If the CFP started today, Indiana would play seventh-seeded Georgia at Sanford Stadium in Athens in the first round.
The Indiana Hoosiers made their final statement of the season with a dominate performance over the Purdue Boilermakers with a 66-0 shutout for the Old Oaken Bucket trophy.
The Hoosiers finished the regular season with an 11-1 overall record and an 8-1 record in Big Ten Conference play, capping off the best season in Hoosiers football history.
Indiana will be idle next week during conference championship play, as Oregon will take on Penn State for the B1G title in Indianapolis. The Hoosiers will likely play in round one of the College Football Playoff on Dec. 20 or 21. ESPN gives the Hoosiers a 98.9% chance to make the 12-team playoff.
