Indiana first-year head coach Curt Cignetti led the Hoosiers football program to an 11-2 overall record making the College Football Playoff as the No. 10 seed, but eventually lost to No. 7 Notre Dame in the first round.
Cignetti and Indiana are looking to make another splash and show they weren't a fluke in year two as they bring back the majority of there coaching staff and three All-Americans including Mikial Kamara, Aiden Fisher and D'Angelo Ponds on defense.
The offense will be loaded as well with new quarterback coach Chandler Whitmer pairing up with offensive coordnatior Mike Shanahan. The duo will be lead on offense by Cal transfer, junior quarterback Fernando Mendoza who will replace Kurtis Rourke.
Indiana's offense, was high powered in 2024. The Hoosiers were balanced and impressive in every department, ranking second in points per game (41.3) and 34th in total yards per game (426.4).

Cignetti was named coach of the year by the American Football Coaches Association, he also earned both the Walter Camp Foundation and the Associated Press honors.
Cignetti earned the Eddie Robinson Award, was named the Sporting News Coach of the Year Award and Home Depot National Coach of the Year award in 2024-25.
Indiana’s spring practices run through the spring game on April 17 at Memorial Stadium.
