Senior players like Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal, who played their entire college career with the Hoosiers, Oumar Ballo, and Luke Goode all have played their last game in an Indiana uniform or so we thought.

Senior forward Luke Goode will pursue a waiver for 5th-year of eligibility and possibly stay at Indiana under new head coach Darian DeVries.

Luke Goode plans to pursue a NCAA hardship waiver to gain a fifth year of eligibility in hopes of playing for the Hoosiers next season according to The Herald Times

The Illinois transfer spent three seasons with the Illini and averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds on 39.2 percent shooting and 38.8 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Luke Goode transferred to Indiana ahead of the 2024-25 season playing in 32 games averaging 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 41.4 field goal shooting % and 39.2 from 3PT range in 26.7 minutes per game.

Goode is applying for a medical hardship waiver because the 6-foot-7 wing only played in 10 of Illinois’ 33 games in 2022-23 before suffering a leg injury that cost him the majority of his season.

The Fort Wayne, Indiana native Goode said after the Big Ten Tournament loss to Oregon that he’d love to return to Indiana, if he has the opportunity.

"“I’d do anything I can to play in the candy stripes again,” Goode said."

“It’s more than special to be able to come represent this jersey,” Goode said. “So if I’m fortunate to get that year, I’d love nothing more than to represent this university once again.”
