Indiana Football Standout Receiver Elijah Sarratt Named To Biletnikoff Award Watch List

The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position.

Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Elijah Sarratt been named to the 2025 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Wednesday.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. 

Sarratt earned third-team All-Big Ten honors last season, after transferring in from James Madison in 2023 and Saint Francis (PA) in 2022.

Elijah Sarratt caught 53 passes for for 957 yards and eight touchdowns last season including an average of 18.1-yard per catch.

 Pro Football Focus ranked Sarratt No. 2 in its preseason rankings of 2026 NFL Draft wide receivers, among X receivers PFF graded him 81.8 overall which ranked his performance sixth in the Big Ten among all wide receivers and 13th-best in the Power Four conferences.

The standout wide receiver was also recently named to the Maxwell Award Watchlist along with quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Senior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt and the Hoosiers are projected to finish as the 23rd-best team in college football on ESPN.

Indiana opens their regular season against Old Dominion University at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 30 inside Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.

The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
