Indiana football recruiting 2026 target Yahya Gaad down to four schools

Yahya Gaad a four-star defensive lineman from South Gibson High School in Medina (TN) has narrowed down his list of schools to four which does not include the Indiana Hoosiers. The four schools included are Georgia, Texas, Florida State and Washington.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound edge rusher had an offer from Curt Cignetti and the Indiana staff back in June of 2024 but ultimately left out the Hoosiers in favor of the four schools mentioned above.

Gaad also held offers from; Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan State, Purdue, Tulane, SMU, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Ole Miss amongst others.

Gaad had 50 tackles as a junior in 2024, according to MaxPreps, including 29 tackles for loss and six sacks. He also was credited with 18 rushing attempts for 82 yards and a score in his junior season as a fullback.

Indiana's 2025 high school recruiting class, is ranked 47th nationally and 14th in the Big Ten by the247Sports Composite. On today's second national signing day.

The 2026 recruiting class currently has one recruit signed to the current class in Sam Simpson. Simpson a three-star recruit is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman currently in his junior year at River Falls High School in Wisconsin.
