The Indiana Hoosiers have made the top seven schools in four-star running back Evan Hampton's final list he announced, on social media Tuesday.
That top seven schools included Indiana, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Duke, North Carolina State and Vanderbilt.

Hampton plays his high school football at Owensboro High School in Owensboro, KY and is a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. He ranks as the No. 298 player in the country, the No. 26 running back in the country, and the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky.
The 6-foot, 200-pound standout running back also holds other offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Illinois, Kentucky, Stanford, Penn State, Virginia, USF, and TCU, among others.
Hampton has been very productive in his career as a varsity starter. As a junior, the Owensboro, Kentucky native for 1,609 yards and 24 touchdowns. His sophmore season Hampton ran for 1,552 rushing yards, 25 touchdowns and averaged 10.7 yards per carry while also catching 44 passes for 527 yards and two scores.
The dual sport athlete has also been very productive on the diamond as well as he was already committed to the Kentucky Wildcats to play baseball.
As a shortstop and infielder, Hampton was on the all-state baseball team, batting .470 with 39 hits and 20 RBI in his sophomore campaign on the diamond.
“Just watching him play, you can immediately see the possibilities of his talent. The way that he moves, the way that he carries himself, that’s one, and then when you watch him swing the bat, he’s got a very natural swing. When you see him field the ball and make a play, it comes fairly natural and fluid for the most part.” OHS coach Jake Fiorella said.
It is unclear whether Hampton will play both sports at the next level but he damn sure is good enough and would fit right in as a Hoosiers as they are ranked in the top 25 at both baseball and football.
