Indiana football has landed Kent State defensive lineman Stephen Daley via the transfer portal. The 6-foot-1 and 260-pound Kent State defensive lineman is the first spring commit out of the transfer portal for the Hoosiers.

Incoming senior Stephen Daley played in 34 career games for the Kent State Golden Flashes. During his tenure Daley made 103 career tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception.
He recorded 51 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 4 sacks in 12 starts in 2024-25 last season.
Pro Football Focus graded Daley as the 71st best edge defender in the country last year as he played on both defense and special teams.
A native of Winchester, Virginia, Daley is a former teammate of Indiana starting defensive tackle C.J. West at Kent State in 2023. West is now considered a top 100 prospect for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. Daley was also offered by Curt Cignetti and his staff prior to Indiana, at James Madison.
Daley was primarily listed as a tight end prospect coming out of Handley High School, he was listed as the No. 159th ranked tight end in the nation and 51st best overall prospect from the state of Virginia in the class of 2022 per 247Sports Composite
Other schools that offered Daley were: Old Dominion, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Norfolk State.
Indiana recently lost two defensive lineman in Marcus Burris Jr and fellow defensive lineman Robby Harrison, who also entered the transfer portal this week and has already committed to Western Kentucky.
Daley now has one season of eligibility remaining.
