Following an undefeated 16-0 season that culminated in a historic National Championship, Indiana Hoosier football fans now have a chance to be a part of the celebration. On Friday, Indiana University Athletics announced a trophy tour that is set to visit nine cities across the Hoosier state this spring.

Miami OH is everything Hoosier fans hoped Indiana would be this season

Starting on March 24 and running through April 21, the tour gives fans a chance to take photos of the trophies the Hoosiers won en route to winning the national title last season. Trophies featured on the tour include the CFP National Championship, the Big Ten Championship, the Rose Bowl, and the Peach Bowl trophies.

The tour is set to visit nine cities across the Hoosier state, with one pit stop standing out as a troll job at an in-state rival.

Indiana's National Championship trophy tour set to visit South Bend

Among the cities included in Indiana's National Championship trophy tour is South Bend, home of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Indiana's title trophies will be in South Bend on April 2, serving as a not-so-subtle reminder of who has bragging rights in the state.

As Indiana put forth a National Championship-winning performance this past season, Notre Dame missed out on the College Football Playoff altogether. The Fighting Irish lost their first two games of the season to Miami (FL) and Texas A&M by a combined four points, but couldn't do enough the rest of the season to prove to the committee that they were deserving of a playoff spot.

It's now been 38 years since Notre Dame won a national title in football, with its last title coming nearly four decades ago in 1988. As the reigning national champs, Hoosier fans will be sure to soak in all of the celebrating they can when the trophy tour takes a pit stop in South Bend on April 2.

Along with South Bend, the trophy tour also includes stops in Richmond (March 24), Gary (March 31), Kokomo (April 7), Indianapolis (April 9), Evansville (April 13), Fort Wayne (April 14), New Albany (April 15), and Columbus (April 21).
