Indiana Basketball Makes the Top-8 for Four-Star Small Forward Cole Cloer

With a reloaded roster for the 2025-26 season already in place, new head coach Darian DeVries and and the Hoosiers are looking to add even more for the future in 2026 recruiting cycle.

Indiana men;s basketball taregt Cole Cloer announced on social media his final eight schools are: Indiana, North Carolina, NC State, Louisville, Alabama, Florida, Virginia and UConn.

He has eliminated: Villanova, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ohio State, Miami, Providence, Oregon, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest and Georgetown.

Coler attended Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina and also plays for Team CP3 on the Nike EYBL circuit, founded by future NBA Hall of Famer Chris Paul. Cloer, recently announced that he will transfer from Greensboro’s Cole Academy to IMG Academy for his senior season in 2025-26.

At Caldwell Academy, he averaged 18.9 points with 7.2 rebounds ,1.2 blocks, 1.0 steal and 3.8 assists as a high school junior while shooting 51% from the field and 41% from three.

On the EYBL Circuit, Cloer is averaging 14.4 points, 2.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game. He shoots g 49.4 percent from the field including 35.7 percent from three point range.

“Cole Cloer stands in the 6-6 range, a scorer,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw wrote on Cloer. “Cloer is a solid straight line athlete with solid length, and a developing wing handle. Is at his best when his game is consolidated, getting to his spots within one or two dribbles. His balance is inconsistent when shooting from three which leads to inconsistent resulted.

Cloer hasn't announced an official visit to Bloomington, Indiana but currently has scheduled official visits to Florida (September 6) and Alabama (October 18).
