Colonia, New Jersey native (Colonia High School) and 2026 four-star shooting guard Aiden Derkack has landed an offer from the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball program as he announced via on X formerly Twitter late Sunday evening.

Last year at Colonia, Derkack averaged 24.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists a game on 50.3 % shooting from the field.

For summer league, he's featured on Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 50.9% overall including 28.3% from three.  Derkack was also a top performer at the Pangos All-American Camp where he averaged 18.8 points.

“Aiden Derkack is a jack-of-all-trades type of wing. Someone who puts their fingerprints on many aspects of an outcome,” On3 National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw said last month. “For starters, the 6-foot-6 wing plays hard and has a natural feel. He is comfortable attacking from the wing, getting teammates involved, and also defending multiple positions. He will need to work on his shooting consistency, but he limits turnovers and puts the ball in advantageous situations.”

Derkack also has offers from Notre Dame, Rutgers, Villanova, Notre Dame, Creighton, Miami, TCU, Xavier, Providence, Dayton, Oklahoma State, Maryland and others.

Derkack's family bloodline runs deep when it comes to athletics. His older brother Jordan played for Rutgers last season and transferred to Dayton for the 2025-26 season. His older sister Taylor currently plays for UMass and Aiden's  father played college basketball at Florida International from 1995-1999 and currently serves as the Vice President of Major Giving for the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
