Ethan Taylor is also officially down to a final six that includes Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and Oregon.  He plans to visit all six schools this upcoming fall.

According to 247Sports Composite, Ethan Taylor is ranked as the No. 22 overall prospect in the class of 2026, he is also the No. 1 center in the class and the No. 1 ranked player overall in the state of Missouri.

Taylor is a native of (Shawnee, Kansas) who played at Shawnee Mission Northwest H.S. last season. He averaged 14.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game in 2024. Taylor was also named first team all-state last season leading Shawnee Mission to back-to back state titles.

Taylor played for the MOKAN Elite program on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer, where he averaged 11.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.3 assists in 15 minutes per game.

Taylor spoke with Rivals about his recruitment and offered up what he is looking for in a program.

“I want to go to a school that has a great history of developing bigs. A program that has a winning culture and a great environment. I want to play for good coaches, ones that will push you, but also understand that you’re human," Taylor said.

In 2025, he will attend Link Academy in Branson, Missouri in his final season as a senior.

Alec Lasley, of On3 Sports broke down what makes Taylor special:

"Taylor is a terrific presence in the paint and has great length and athleticism to score over and around defenders. He’s continued to get stronger which has helped in developing even better and more specific go-to moves in the post. He can turn over either shoulder in the paint and has good leaping ability as a lob threat."
