After a historic National Championship winning season, the Indiana Hoosiers have a chance to break a program record for most players selected in a single NFL Draft. The current record is seven, which came back in the 1976 draft. Indiana sent a program record nine players to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, which puts the Hoosiers in a strong position to tie or break that 1976 record.
Raiders go all out on Day 1 of NFL free agency to start building around Fernando Mendoza
The NFL Combine gave players a chance to show off their skills and meet directly with NFL teams. Next on the agenda is Indiana's Pro Day, which is slated for Wednesday, April 1. Like the Combine, this event provides NFL hopefuls and opportunity to perform tests and drills in front of NFL coaches, scouts, and front office personnel from the comfort of their home campus.
On Tuesday, Indiana released the full list of participants for its Pro Day.

It goes without saying that the headliner of this group is QB Fernando Mendoza. The Heisman Trophy winning gunslinger is the overwhelming favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Raiders have already started laying the ground work to build their franchise around Mendoza.
But Mendoza isn't the only Hoosier projected to hear his name called early on in the draft. WR Omar CooperJr. finds himself on the back end of Round 1 in many mock drafts, and CB D'Angelo Ponds is a projected 2nd Round pick.
Along with Mendoza, Cooper, and Ponds, the other IU players to attend the NFL Combine included WR Elijah Sarratt, C Pat Coogan, LB Aiden Fisher, S Louis Moore, RB Roman Hemby, and TE Riley Nowakowski.
The 2026 Draft is scheduled to take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
