The Dallas Wings have signed guard Grace Berger to a seven-day hardship contract, the team announced today. The Wings qualify for a roster hardship due to injuries of Maddy Siegrist and Ty Harris according to the official Dallas Wings website

Grace Berger was a first round pick and the seventh overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2023 WNBA Draft.
Berger was WNBA 2nd All-Rookie Team member in 2023 for the Fever, but her role decreased in 2024 with the selection of No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark. During her two-years in Indianapolis, Grace Berger played 13.3 minutes per game, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 assists per game in 47 appearances.
This past offseason, Berger played for OGM Ormanspor in the Turkish Women’s Basketball League, where she is averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals, while shooting 44.7% from the field and 30.6% from three in 27 total games.
Berger signed a hardship deal with the Los Angeles Sparks in June, making one appearance, and had a brief preseason stint with the Minnesota Lynx earlier this year.
Here's what Grace Berger told reporters about her signing with Dallas:
“I think they’re an up-and-coming team,” Berger told DallasHoopsJournal.com “There are a lot of young players mixed with some good vets that I’ve been watching and playing against for a couple of years. I’m excited to be on their team and learn from them—people like Arike, obviously, there’s a lot to learn from her.”
At Indiana in Bloomington, Berger was a four-time All-Big Ten first team player, Berger scored 1,841 career points, had 573 assists and 752 rebounds in her five years at IU.
She was also a member of the 2022-23 All-Big Ten First Team and was named an Associated Press All-American Honorable mention her graduate season.
