On3 Sports' National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Joe Tipton has reported that one time major Indiana recruiting target Fridrik Leo Curtis has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Indiana's Big Ten Conference foe, Nebraska flipped Leo Curtis from Arizona State where he commited a few months ago.

I chose Nebraska because the basketball fit matches my strengths and the coach does a great job using the unique skills each player brings,” Curtis said. “I believe the coaching staff can help me keep developing and take my game to the next level. I’m also excited to compete in front of Husker Nation. The energy and support from the fans looks amazing.”

Fridrik Leo Curtis from Iceland who attends Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts is the No. 70 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to On3. He’s also the No. 10 center in the 2025 class.

Last season, Curtis showcased his talent with IR Reykjavik in Iceland, where he posted impressive averages of 15.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting an efficient 42.2% from three-point range over 31 games. He also represented his country on the international stage, competing with Iceland’s U20 national team this past summer and contributing 5.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, that coming from New England Recruiting Report

The 7-1, 220 pound center will be a major factor and player on head coach Fred Hoiberg's 2025-26 roster next season.

Darian DeVries took over for Mike Woodson back in March but has already landed 10 commitments via the transfer portal with Josh Harris, Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles, Tayton Conerway, Jason Drake, Sam Alexis and Nick Dorn added to the roster.
