Former Indiana women’s basketball guard Sara Scalia, who signed with Magnolia Campobasso in Italy last year in May has won most valuable player of the month for the second time this season.
Scalia has set the Italy’s Serie A1 league on fire she averaged 19.7 points, 3.6 rebounds per game and shot 62% from the field.

At Indiana, where she spent two seasons Sara Scalia averaged 16.3 points per game during her fifth-and final season as a senior. Sara. also averaged 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, and she shot 42.7 percent from 3-point range, ranking second in the Big Ten. She totaled 1,981 career points in three seasons previously at Minnesota and two at Indiana.
The Stillwater, Minnesota, native went undrafted in the 2024 WNBA Draft before signing with La Molisana Magnolia Campobasso in May. Scalia and her squad are 13-5 this season, currently sitting third overall in the standings.
For the season 2024-25 Scalia is averaging 14.0 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists shooting 41.0 from the arc.
