The National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame ballot has been released.
The former Indiana running back Vaughn Dunbar is among the multiple nominees, he is one of 79 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 100 players and 35 coaches from the divisional ranks.
He finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting in 1991, when he led the nation in rushing with 1,805 yards and was a unanimous first-team All-American.
The two-time All-Big Ten and 1991 unanimous First Team All-American ran for more than 3,000 yards in just two seasons with the Hoosiers and led Indiana to victory in the 1991 Copper Bowl.
Joining Dunbar on the ballot was fellow former IU great Antwaan Randle El, who is also nominated for the second year in a row.
Randle-El played four seasons at Indiana and was one of the best players in the program's history. He became the first player in FBS history to pass for at least 6,000 yards and rush for at least 3,000 yards. He accounted for 86 touchdowns in his career and ranks second in career passing, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns for the school.
Of the 5.78 million individuals in the past 156 years, only 1,111 players have earned induction into the NFF College Football Hall of Fame.
The Indiana Hoosiers have six members in the College Football Hall of Fame, with Anthony Thompson the most recent selection in 2007. He is joined by coach Alvin “Bo” McMillin (1951), Pete Philos (1966), Zora Clevenger (1968), George Taliaferro (1981) and John Tavener (1990)
Ballots for this year's College Football Hall of Fame class were sent to more than 12,000 members of the National Football Foundation and current Hall of Famers.
The announcement of the 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made by July 1.
The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 9, 2025 at the Bellagio Hotel & Resort, and they will also be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2025 season.
