Former Indiana center Luke Fischer may have had a short lived Hoosier basketball career but he will be back in action on the hardwood with a few former IU teammates this summer as he was added to the the Assembly Ball Indiana alumni team.
A native of Germantown, Wisconsin, Fischer played in all but 13 games for Indiana basketball in the 2013-2014 season and averaged 2.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 10 minutes per contest.
Fischer was apart of one of the best recruiting classes in Indiana men's basketball history, that also included Noah Vonleh, Troy Williams, Stanford Robinson and Devin Davis.

“Luke has decided to withdraw from Indiana and pursue another educational and basketball opportunity,” Indiana coach Tom Crean said in the release. “He explained to us he is looking for a different fit for him. We hate to see a fine young man like Luke leave, but he has made his decision and we wish the entire Fischer family well.”
Coming out of high school Fischer held offers from Creighton, Iowa, Marquette and Boston College,
The Wisconsin native finished his career at Marquette and averaged 10.3 points and 5.2 rebounds over his college career.
Fischer went un-drafted in 2017 and has since played overseas, most recently in Spain. He averaged 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 63.2% in 2024-25.
