With the NFL combine in the books and pro days season finished for all of the Hoosiers prospects, the NFL Draft season is in full swing with only a month away from draft night.
There is a ton of hype for the first round and even the day 2 picks which include rounds 2-3 but day 3 of the draft is where the draft is truly won. There are always diamonds in the rough and gems that fly under the radar and former Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke is looking to be one of those prospects.
Quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Marc Bulger, Rich Gannon, Brock Purdy, Joe Theismann, Brad Johnson, Bart Starr, Roger Staubach and Matt Hasselbeck were all picked late in the draft and had amazing careers, with Brady obviusly being the G.O.A.T (sixth round pick #199).
Rourke was recently named one of the most underrated prospects in the whole draft class according to the website "Bloggin The Boys" Here is what they had to say about Rourke below.
"Rourke is considered a sleeper in this year’s NFL draft because he has the size, arm talent, and experience that NFL teams covet, but he flies under the radar due to his age, deep ball accuracy and his late ACL injury which adds questions on his availability this year. Look past those issues and you’ll find a quarterback with good experience, quickly able to read defenses, and is resilient and unyielding on the field with great leadership. Put in the time and stay patient with Rourke and he’ll pay any team back that drafts him with a solid backup quarterback that’s quick to develop." - Bloggin The Boys
